The role of natural gas in Asia

Hosted by Roger Bounds, Shell Vice President Global LNG

Session closed April 17, 2014

Asia has experienced a historic transformation as countries have moved from rural to urban societies. As populations increase and congregate in cities, almost all growth in energy use in the coming decades will be from cities.

Natural gas is uniquely positioned to help Asia meet its energy and environmental challenges as it has a low CO₂ footprint and is the cleanest burning fossil fuel.

Shell is pioneering new technologies to help tap difficult-to-reach natural gas deposits and using advanced technology to open up new resources of natural gas.

Roger Bounds, Shell Vice President Global LNG, and a panel of experts answered your questions on “The role of natural gas in Asia”. Thank you for joining the webchat - the transcripts from the event is now available to download.
